Shellharbour City Council supports local volunteers to learn more about the various roles on offer across Local Government.

Becoming a volunteer opens up a world of opportunity to learn new skills, develop self-confidence and become involved in your community in a way that is interesting.

Volunteering can be formal or informal, full-time or part-time, occasional or even once-off. Whatever you are looking for, you will be part of an inclusive team who will assist in your responsibilities and the tasks that you accept.

Our volunteers build new skills, meet new people while helping with day-to-day tasks and be a part of a variety of projects and events.  

Volunteering is undertaken willingly by the volunteer without coercion, has no financial payment.
