Learn to Swim Instructor

Do you have a Current Teacher of Swimming Water Safety Certificate and have a passion for teaching? 

We are currently seeking qualified Learn to Swim teachers who are motivated and reliable to deliver professional Learn to Swim programs focusing on developing the participant’s level of water safety and swimming ability. Our programs range from babies to squad levels as well as providing programs for adults.

The Learn to Swim classes run from Monday to Saturday mornings and in the afternoons from Monday to Friday.

Lessons are held at our 25m heated pool at Oak Flats, however intensive classes are held at our Albion Park & Warilla pools during the summer months.

We welcome your application if you have enrolled in a Teacher of Swimming Water Safety course within the next month or are awaiting your certification.

  • Casual positions working a variety of shifts Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings
  • Salary of $35.42 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
  • 11% Superannuation
  • Additional penalty rates are paid to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for Saturday/Sunday work
  • Fast paced and fun team environment 

What you will need:

  • Current Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety Certificate
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Current "Working with Children Check" clearance in accordance with the 'Child Protection (WWC) Act 2012 for Paid workers
  • Completed (or willing and able to complete) the Competitive Strokes / Foundation Coach and/or Techer of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (INF) would be highly regarded
  • Requirement to pass a Pre Employment Medical Assessment
