Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a flexible, contemporary environment in a Local Government area currently experiencing rapid growth?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person who is interested in undertaking a 24 month traineeship in Tourism (Events).

The role:

You will embark on a program of learning and skills development as an active participant in a team that delivers activation, promotion and building maintenance across the Shellharbour Civic Centre.

This opportunity is open to both school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Certificate III in Tourism (Events) and who do not already hold a Certificate III qualification or higher.

The traineeship will cover both practical and theoretical requirements supported by TAFE.

We offer:

  • Temporary full time, 35 hours per week up to 24 months (or the duration of the traineeship)
  • Salary up to $677.00 per week, plus 9.5% superannuation
  • On the job training
  • Compulsory course costs are paid by Council
  • Up to 3 hours of study time per week
  • Evening and weekend shifts
