The role:

The Children and Families Officer position will play a key role in designing and delivering a range of programs and initiatives that support wellbeing and safety outcomes for children and families across Shellharbour City.

With a strong mind for critical thinking and analysis, great communication skills and a positive approach to community and stakeholder engagement, the role will be pivotal in making Shellharbour a child-friendly city.

You will be suitably qualified with experience working with children and families in planning and delivering programs and activities for children and families.

We offer:

  • Temporary full time position up to July 2021 (subject to external funding)
  • Possibility of extension (subject to external funding) without further advertising
  • Up to 35 hours per week with access to flexi-time
  • Salary up to $1,490.48 per week, plus 9.5% superannuation
