The Links Shell Cove is looking for a vibrant, proactive, and customer-focused Barista / Cafe All-Rounder to join our team.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista / Café All-Rounder who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys creating memorable experiences for every guest. Whether you’re crafting the perfect coffee, preparing food, serving customers with a smile, or helping keep the cafe running smoothly, you’ll play an important role in delivering the welcoming atmosphere we’re known for. As the Links operates as both a cafe and bar, the successful applicant will also be required to responsibly serve alcoholic beverages.

Employment Type: Casual
Location: The Links Shell Cove
Salary: $36.71 per hour (including casual loading) + 12% super.
Penalties are paid in addition for Saturday/Sunday work and public holidays.
This role is about much more than making coffee. You’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests while supporting the day-to-day operation of our cafe.
Your responsibilities may include:

- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and refreshments.
- Assisting with food preparation, light meals, and serving baked treats.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a friendly atmosphere.
- Taking orders and handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented cafe environment.
- Assisting with stock control, replenishment, and general cafe duties.
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Responsibly serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with RSA requirements.

- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Enjoys working with people and providing outstanding customer service.
- Can work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Is reliable, well-presented, and a strong team player.
- Has barista experience or a willingness to learn.
- Has previous hospitality, cafe, food service, or customer service experience (preferred but not essential).
- Holds current RSA and RCG certificates (or is willing to obtain one).
- Is available to work early mornings, including weekends and public holidays.
