Civic Centre Functions Staff (Casual)

Are you passionate about events, activations and creating engaging community spaces? Shellharbour City Council is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Civic Centre Functions Staff to join our dynamic Venues and Activations Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the coordination and professional delivery of events and functions at the Shellharbour Civic Centre.
  • Setting up and packing down rooms for various functions and events.
  • Assisting with the setup of the inhouse audio and visual requirements to ensure seamless event execution.

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • A strong focus on customer service and a friendly, can-do attitude.
  • Hospitality or events experience – you understand what it takes to deliver a smooth and successful function.
  • A proactive and reliable team player who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of AV equipment setup (training can be provided).

While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols within a hospitality environment

Salary & Benefits

  • Casual positions offering flexible day, evening and weekend work
  • Commencing salary from $38.56 per hour (including casual loading)
