Team Leader Bush Regeneration

About the role
The Team Leader Bush Regeneration is responsible for maintenance of Bushland reserves, wetlands, Asset Protection Zones and Bushcare sites. This role involves trade level supervision and mentoring to direct reports, the management of volunteers and collaboration with the Team Coordinator Bushland Management to ensure effective weed control and conservation practices are implemented. In this position, you will also be required to maintain Council assets, organise resources and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards while actively participating in bush regeneration activities.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for a proactive and experienced leader with a strong background in conservation and ecosystem management. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent.
- Experience working with community groups and supervising volunteers.
- Strong knowledge of bush regeneration techniques and maintenance practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective liaison with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources and deliver work programs efficiently.
- Current NSW Driver’s License - Class C and compliance with relevant safety certifications.
The successful candidate will show a commitment to environmental sustainability and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team while adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
What we offer
- A permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week, with the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight, including weekends
- Commencing salary range from $67,943.72 to $72,102.16 (depending on skills and experience)
- An Adverse Working Conditions Allowance (Level 1) of $19.49 per week in accordance with the applicable award
- 12% superannuation
