About the Role:
As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality swimming lessons to children of varying ages and abilities. Your role is to help build water confidence, teach vital swim skills and water safety, and ensure every child feels encouraged and supported.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver fun structured swim lessons to individuals and small groups

  • Promote water safety and skill development in a positive and energetic manner

  • Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement to learners.

  • Support children of all levels, including nervous beginners and confident swimmers 

  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and team-oriented pool environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who enjoys working with children

  • Current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification (or currently enrolled)

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or enrolled to complete)

  • NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
  • Competitive Strokes/Foundation Coach and/or Infant and Preschool Aquatics qualifications are highly regarded
  • Willingness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment

Location and Hours:

  • Oak Flats 25m heated pool. Holiday intensive classes are also held at our Albion Park and Warilla pools during the summer months. 
  • Classes run Monday - Friday  9am - 12.30pm & 3.30pm - 6.30pm (7pm in summer), Saturday's 8am - 12.30pm.

  • Permanent part time, working minimum 15.20 hours per week
  • Commencing salary range from $479.78 - $509.15 per week based on 15.20 hours
  • Casual positions working a variety of shifts Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings 
  • Casual hourly rate from $39.45 (including casual loading)
  • Additional penalty rates are paid to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for Saturday/Sunday shifts
  • Plus 12% superannuation

Please Note: 

  • This position requires a current "Working with Children Check" clearance in accordance with the 'Child Protection (WWC) Act 2012 for Paid workers

  • A First Aid Certificate is an essential requirement of this position, therefore no allowance is payable.
