The role:

The Group Manager Human Resources is an integral member of the Senior Management Team. You will take a lead role in the development and implementation of various HR initiatives and act as a strategic business partner in the delivery of workplace reform and HR services.

This role is pivotal in supporting the achievement of strategic business objectives by ensuring the organisation has the right culture, people and skills to meets its short and long term goals. Whilst the role is generalist by nature, culture and capability development, coaching and performance management, service delivery and strong relationship management most accurately reflect the true nature of this role.

As part of an organisation that is committed to improving HR performance, this is a genuine opportunity to create your own ideas and contribute to the development and implementation of best practice HR management and in so doing, influence business direction. You will manage and be supported by a small team who will assist implement your vision.

Degree qualified, you will ideally have experience working in an organisation that has a mix of white and blue collar staff and a strong “internal client” service delivery culture. In addition, you must demonstrate a proven record of success in leading and influencing teams through change and be able to drive improvement at all levels within a business. You must also demonstrate the energy, drive and credibility to translate business needs into practical HR solutions. Your ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and build credible relationships at all levels in the business will be critical to your success.
