The role:

We are seeking a Senior Development Assessment Officer and a Development Assessment Officer to complement a growing and fast paced team.

As a Senior Development Assessment Officer you will use your extensive experience to assess and determine complex development applications ensuring compliance with legislation & Council policy. The role will provide coaching and guidance to staff.   

As a Development Assessment Officer, you will be involved in all aspects of the development application process including assessment and determination, pre-lodgement advice and responding to customers and other internal staff.

The Senior Development Assessment Officer is a re-advertised position, previous applicants need not apply again.  

You will be required to assess and determine complex development applications that delivers enhanced quality outcomes for the Community and Council.  The role will also provide opportunities to be involved in mentoring other staff. 

  • Salary up to $1,858.28 per week depending on qualifications, skills and experience, plus 9.5% superannuation
  • Fully Maintained leaseback vehicle or vehicle allowance may be offered

As the Development Assessment Officer will be required to assess and determine complex development applications to ensure a customer focused approach that delivers enhanced quality outcomes for the Community and Council.  

  • Salary up to $1,490.48 per week depending on qualifications, skills and experience, plus 9.5% superannuation
  • Fully Maintained leaseback vehicle or vehicle allowance may be offered
